- Microsoft Tech Talk

  > Thursday Jan. 24th @ 6pm E2-599
  > Great opportunity to get insight about what Microsoft is working on
  > You can submit your resumes!

-ACM/SWE Movie Night

> Movie: 'Pirates of the Silicon Valley'
> Thursday: Jan. 26th @ 6pm
> Location: TBD

- Mr. Engineering Pageant Planning

  > Date: Feb. 24th (last day of E-week)
  > Prizes: Game package that EA games generously will donate. More details later.
  > Contests:    1.) Trivia Questions
                          2.) Talent Showdown
                          3.) Nerdy Wear Parade

 > Open to all male engineering students (Undergrads &TAs) 

  > Next week: Start advertising to find potential contestants, so ask your friends if they would like to join!

                           - Making posters ([1.] Finding contestants & [2.] Spreading the word about the event)
                           - Facebook event invite (post in SWE FB page, and Ugrads of SOE FB page)
                           - During E-week show the prizes that the contestants can potentially win
              
  
- Fundraising plans during E-week (Engineering week)
  > E-week (Engineering week) dates are Feb 19th -Feb 24th

  > We plan on selling some kind of baked good. Here are some suggestions that came up in this week's meeting:

      - Cookies (Red Velvet, Snicker doodle, Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter)
      - Banana Bread Muffins 
      - Millionaire's Shortbread
      - Fudge 

  > As a club we plan on making circuit jewelry as an event between members then sell them. Everyone is welcomed and gets a chance to learn about soldering. 

  > If you have any other ideas for things we can make, send us email! 


- Topics for next week's SWE meeting:

  > Slogans for club t-shirts

  > Taste testing baked goods for E-week

  > Compile questions for Trivia portion of Mr. Engineering Pageant
